CHEW Dog Rescue is a volunteer-based organization dedicated to rescuing abandoned dogs and dogs slated for euthanasia due to shelter space limitations. We are currently working to find foster homes and acquire funding for insurance, veterinary and foster care that are essential elements for dog rescue.

Ways you can help:

• Donate and/or find other sources for donations.

• Become a foster home for a rescued dog while a forever home is being found. Print out and complete this application. Click here for more information about being a dog rescue foster home. ..... (Example of a foster contract)

• Help us find foster homes.

• Sponsor a dog.

• Adopt a CHEW Dog Rescue dog. To view and print out an adoption application click here. (Example of an adoption contract.)

• Volunteer for transporting dogs from shelters or to and from veterinary care.

• Volunteer to help with outreach and fund raising events.

CHEW Dog Rescue recognizes that, due to unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances, dog owners may be faced with the difficult decision of surrendering their dog to rescue. If you find yourself in such a predicament and have made all reasonable effort to rehome your dog, please contact us. If CHEW Dog Rescue accepts your dog into its program we will be asking you to complete and sign our transfer of ownership form.

We are grateful to the owners of Sophie's Touch, a downtown Gig Harbor pet supply store, who have offered a $500 in a matching grant for CHEW Dog Rescue.
